A great weekend

We have had a great couple of weekends. We had the pleasure to have my buddy Brian and Candice come in town with their son Jay. We had a blast and Dee Dee got some practice with changing dirty diapers. I don't have any pictures of this weekend but I do have some from the weekend before. We spent it with our friends David and Michelle and their children Conner and Caleb. It was a great first birthday party. Dee Dee and I are trying to get as much practice as possible before our baby comes.

Again, waiting

Yes, we are still waiting. Today makes 2 months and a week that our paperwork has been in Russia. We are looking around the house to see what changes need to be made to make sure everything is perfect. We have his room ready except for furniture, only because we don't know how old he will be and we are looking to make the basement into a playroom.



It is to the point now that every time that Dee Dee calls me during the day I get a little excited, that's not to say I don't get excited anyway, but I keep thinking it is "the Call". I know it will come sooner than later, but I cannot contain myself. I hope you all have a great weekend and you need to get out and vote.

Still Waiting

Well, we are still waiting. Tomorrow marks 2 months that our paperwork has been in Russia. We hope everyday that the phone will ring with good news. We hope to be able to share great news with everyone in the next couple of weeks. The average waiting time is between 2 and 6 months. Dee Dee has had some correspondence with other families online in different blogs and this seems to be the norm.

This past weekend we were in Virginia doing a walk for JT. He is one of Dee Dee's step moms cousins who has Lou Gehrig's disease. This a great cause and everyone should get involved and learn a little about the disease. www.jtwalk.org

Still Waiting

Ok, tomorrow marks 2 months that our paperwork has been Russia. We have had very little contact with the agency in the last month. By our calculations this means that we should be coming up soon on the list. We are both very excited and very tired. Just waiting by the phone is getting a little old. The nice thing is that we have been out of town or very busy the last couple of weeks so it makes the time go by.

Sorry it has been a little while since the last post. This weekend Dee Dee and I did go to Virginia to a family reunion. It was a lot of fun. We did a walk for JT. No News

Well, it has been another week and still no word. Dee Dee and I are so excited and ready to hear somthing. We are hoping that we will hear something in the next two weeks or so. We will continue to keep you all posted.

We are a little excited that the Russian dollar has droped in the last couple of weeks so at least that is good for our travels.

GREAT NEWS

Great News Today. Last Thursday I made an important decision based on the our current trip to Russia. I have pulled my yearly beard growth out of retirement. I am looking forward to staying warm in Russia.



All jokes aside, we did get a phone call from the adoption agency on Thursday evening. They were not giving us a referral yet but did ask us a few questions that would lead us to believe that we could be getting one soon. We will let you know as soon as we know something.
